The Webster County Woodchopping Festival is held every Memorial Day Weekend. All chopping activities along with live music, food vendors, arts and crafts are done here on Baker's Island.

Spooktacular is an annual event held by the town which provides an alternative to traditional trick or treating. Area businesses provide candy, prizes and crafts for the young goblins to participate in.
